Been there, done that! I drug my daughter to the car naked one day because she wouldn’t get dressed! Oh lord, how I remember those days. They are now 18, 16 and 13 and I can work out whenever I want! And now I actually go at 6 in the morning, because they are big enough to get themselves ready and off to school. Just know because you care enough about your babies not to leave them screaming in a daycare they will grow to be wonderful teens. And grow they will, every year it will get easier. I feel your pain, even though it feels like this stage, age will never end, it goes way too fast! Sending you hugs….and more hugs.

In fact tho, everytime their father and I went anywhere together, we always got an emergency call — from someone stealing their skateboard, to “just checking” to see if you really are there at that wedding. Remember… back then, no cells – they had to “announce” it to the whole room! Very embarassing and every single time!

I live is beautiful San Diego though so I can go outside most of the year. Even in the hot summer the night is cool enough to at least go out and take the dog for a walk.
I say just KEEP on making them go! I know it is a lot of effort to take them there and only get 15 minutes but quitting would really be letting them win! Recently I started trying to go just once a week for a yoga class and my littlest has finally got the memo on the fact that we WILL keep doing this so he better just get over it.
In the beginning it was really lame. They would come and get me at the last 5 minutes of class when the lights were low and everyone was laying down trying to relax. They would bust through the door and yell my name ruining everyone’s yoga class along with mine! Yippee!! Thank you for that childcare workers! I mean GEEZ if they dealt with it for the first 55 minutes could they at least have let me finish the last 5 minutes of the yoga class? That is the best part of the class! They know the class is only an hour, COME ON! Then the best part would be that many of the times I would go in there and HE WOULD NOT EVEN BE CRYING! Sigh…

Oh my, do I know your pain. B screamed every.single.time. I took her to the Y for a solid 5 months. I told them I was anxious to get her acclimated and unless she was upsetting the other kids, to please help me out and get her through a workout. They more they knew her and me, they were more understanding. I would do 20 minutes on the treadmill and go get her, adding time over the weeks. I think the 15 minute thing is policy and since they don’t know you, they don’t want to push it. But, keep going. The kids will learn to suck it up and the workers will learn you are A-OKAY! with the kids toughing it out. Keep at it, momma, you’re doing great!
